Time just flies by. For me at the moment I'm working full time at a job I enjoy at TELUS, a student of a great photography class, photographer and a parent of a perfect boy. So I understand how it feels like time just slips by us.

It feels like it was just yesterday that my baby was born, and I became camera happy wanting to freeze all of his precious moments. I was running out of space on my walls, until my wonderful husband got a digital frame for me. I had a wonderful mothers day and it wasn't about the gifts or running out for dinner. It was something simple....I wanted to paint pots outside for my garden with my son, so I could see my sons art work every morning.
That day we were cuddling in bed together and in the corner of my eye I could see my son was staring at me, I looked over. He smiled and said " mommy you are so beautiful and I love you", he continued to stare and smile. He took my breathe away, my eyes started to water, and I sucked in for air. That moment I will never in my life forget. My son looked at me and expressed I was his world to him. It was a perfect day. It made me think of my grandfather, my inspiration for photography. He always said" sabrina you looked at me when you were a baby and it was a instant bond, you looked at me like no other and I knew I was your world, and you were mine". This must have been what it felt like. Breathe taking.

I have been honoured to photograph baby Emmalee, and it was amazing to remember how tiny our little babies are at the begining. Thanks for letting me borrow the precious moments of little baby Emmalee, for the now mother of two to now have on her walls forever.

Happy monthers day to you all.

Have a wonderful easter!

If there is one thing that makes me smile every day, and my world go round and round it’s my son .

I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful son, and the things he has brought me have contributed to who I am today. When he was born I could not get enough of snapping pictures, I wanted every moment, every memory frozen in time. They grow up so fast, thank goodness I had a great camera!

“Thank you son, for making mommy as happy as I am and completing me”.

So for the families that have a new addition shortly, or maybe just want some pictures done by myself to put on your walls. I know how it is to want to capture every second… I have affordable rates and great new born props coming shortly, book now for this spring/summer.

Email me if interested and we can go over some options and rates that will work with any family budget! Everyone should be able to enjoy not only pictures of our little ones, but art you can hold close to your heart, forever.

So until we chat again.

Have a wonderful Easter holiday, enjoy the time with your family.
Don’t forget to take some pictures!!

Spring is here!

Posted March 21, 2012

Forgive me, I have wanted to get in and update my blog. I’ve been very busy and always miss my window of opportunity, but I have made time today!!

I had a wonderful session March 10th that I wanted to share. There are many things that I feel are just truly beautiful to capture. Newborn, love, family and yoga. I find yoga can be very healing, and as a lover for yoga myself, I really wanted to capture a session to reflect the beauty of it. I had the opportunity, and did end up capturing some stunning photo’s. It was the first nice day of almost spring, a little mucky but most of the snow was melting. I have a vision for more sessions and have a couple more yoga sessions booked for the summer, really want to capture nature as well.

I’m very close to finishing my photography class in the next couple weeks, its been a great couple months and the knowledge that I have gained has assisted me with turning my pictures into art.

I am the event photographer for relay for life up all night for the fight in Kelowna BC. It’s a 12 hour fundraiser from 6PM till 6AM June 2 &3rd. I’m honoured that I have the opportunity to capture the waives of emotion, and the pure beauty of coming together for cancer.

During my visit in Kelowna I have more sessions booked, so it will be a very busy week for me, but I really look forward to doing what I love in my home town!

Currently in the process of getting my business cards and flyers ready for June.

Really excited everything is going well, feedback from the pictures are great, customers are happy, booking sessions every week, and I’m one very proud mother and photographer!!

A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.  ~Ansel Adams

What a success!

My website has been such a wonderful success, and the feedback given has been truly touching.

The main thing my viewers said was " I feel your pictures tell a story", and " I can feel the pictures". These are the sayings I want for all of my pictures and look forward to capturing many more fairy tale moments.

I'm booked for some weddings, special occations and will be making some trips out of province for some great photo sessions. Here comes the BIG one......

I will also be flying to Kelowna to become a part of not only something big, but something that has touched my family many times.....cancer. I am proud to be the event photographer for relay for life and a powerful team called "up all night, for the fight". I will be taking pictures and being a part of this from 6pm till 6am the following day. Catching tributes to our loved ones, and survivers. Capturing laughter, smiles and yes some tears. This will be the most touching, moving moment of my business, and I am looking forward to it. My grandfather who passed was a cancer surviver, my grandmother (his wife) was also a breast cancer surviver, myself being a cancer surviver and my other grandfather who was also touched by this horrible disease. I look forward to being honoured to capture these precious moment, and being one step closer one day to the cure!

Today is the day!!

Welcome to my site!!

My world changed Oct 30th when I lost my grandfather. I then took all my memories and tears into something we both loved. With the support of my family, I did it. I wanted to find a way to keep raising money for the heart and stroke foundation in honor of him,and continue doing what we were so passionate about. So here she is! I love taking pictures, I love being a part of a families story. This is just the start of a special adventure. Thank you for taking the time to view my site, and witnessing the start of something truly amazing.

Almost launch day:)

The picture opportinities I had were truly amazing, its a very beautiful place. I took my first canon with me due to the traveling, pictures say a million words.

A little bit about my photo's

I enjoy creating my own artistic moment with each picture.

I want each picture to tell a story, or to feel the love captured in that very moment.

You create the moment, and I wait for that very special moment to capture forever.

Need pictures taken, let me know!

Sometimes a photograph captures reality.
Sometimes a photograph captures the imagination.
Ultimately, a photograph simply captures a moment in time.
And then…it lives forever.  -unkown
